Zety

Zety is an online resume and cover letter builder that walks users through a guided, step-by-step process: pick a template, add content, personalize the design and download. It offers 18 or more templates, a live preview, and adjustable colors, fonts, spacing and section order, so beginners can build a polished resume without design skills.

Its content engine supplies expert-written and AI-generated phrases, skills and accomplishments tailored to a target job title, plus an Improve with AI option and role-based keyword suggestions. A paid resume checker scores a resume and flags more than 30 issues, a cover letter builder matches the resume design, and extras include career guides and job matches based on resume skills. Downloads are available in PDF, Word and TXT, though formatted files require a paid plan.

Zety is aimed at first-time and entry-level job seekers and anyone who wants a wizard-style flow rather than a blank page. The free Basic plan only allows TXT downloads, and the trial auto-renews into a recurring subscription, so users should watch billing terms.

Zety's Basic plan is free and lets you build a resume and cover letter, but downloads are limited to plain TXT format. The official pricing page lists no numeric limits for the free plan beyond that export restriction.

The Pro plan starts with a 14-day trial for $1.95, then auto-renews at $25.95 billed every 4 weeks (about 13 charges a year) unless you cancel. The Annual plan is listed at $5.95 per month, or $71.40 paid upfront, and renews yearly. Both paid plans unlock PDF, Word and TXT downloads, unlimited edits and prints, the resume check and the cover letter builder. A third-party review quoted a $1.70 trial, so check the amount at checkout.

Several reviewers and user reports mention difficulty cancelling, so read the renewal terms carefully and set a reminder before the trial ends.
