Lovable is the world's fastest-growing AI app builder, founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2023 by Anton Osika (CEO) and Fabian Hedin (CTO). It emerged from GPT Engineer — Osika's open-source AI coding project that became one of GitHub's fastest-growing repositories ever with 51,000+ stars. After two failed commercial launches under the GPT Engineer App name in 2024, the product was renamed Lovable in December 2024, pivoting from a developer tool to a broad "vibe coding" platform for anyone who can describe what they want to build.

The results were historic. Lovable reached $7M ARR by end of 2024, $100M ARR by August 2025 (8 months), and $206M ARR by November 2025 — a 2,800% year-over-year growth rate. By February 2026, Lovable crossed $400M ARR with just 146 employees, making it what Forbes called the fastest-growing software startup in history. In April 2026, TIME named Lovable to its 100 most influential companies list. The company has raised ~$553M across four rounds culminating in a $330M Series B in December 2025 led by CapitalG (Google's growth fund) and Menlo Ventures at a $6.6B valuation. Investors include Accel, Khosla Ventures, NVIDIA's NVentures, Salesforce Ventures, and Databricks Ventures. Both founders are estimated to be Europe's youngest self-made billionaires at approximately $1.6B net worth each.

Lovable's platform generates full-stack React/TypeScript web applications from natural language prompts. The editor combines an AI chat panel with a live preview, plus a visual editor for point-and-click design changes and a Code Mode for direct code editing and GitHub sync. Built-in infrastructure handles hosting, SSL, custom domains, authentication, Supabase databases, Stripe payments, and 100+ service connections. Enterprise customers including Adidas, Asana, ElevenLabs, Zendesk, Workday, and NVIDIA use Lovable to build and deploy internal tools — eXp Realty cancelled $2M/year in SaaS contracts, The Scion Group deployed 100+ apps in 4 months, and Nursa built a new product in 48 hours. As of 2026, Lovable has 60 million projects built and 900 million monthly visits to Lovable-built apps.

Lovable uses a credit-based Freemium model. The Free plan ($0, no credit card required) gives 5 daily build credits (~30/month), private projects, unlimited collaborators, and hosting on a lovable.app subdomain.

The Pro plan ($25/month, ~$21/month annually) includes 100 monthly credits, custom domains, private projects, Code Mode (view and edit generated code), GitHub sync for version history and local editing, credit rollover month-to-month (up to plan limit), and the option to remove Lovable branding. The Business plan ($50/month, ~$42/month annually) includes 250 monthly credits, all Pro features, SSO (SAML), data training opt-out, and reusable design system templates.

Enterprise pricing is custom and adds dedicated onboarding, priority support, custom API connections, custom credit limits, audit logs, and full enterprise data governance with a DPA and SLA. Credits can be purchased as top-ups at any time. Each credit corresponds to a fractional unit of AI work: simple style changes cost ~0.5 credits, adding authentication costs ~1.2, and a full landing page with images costs ~1.7. Monthly plan credits roll over; daily free credits reset each 24 hours.
