About Responsive
Responsive, the platform many people still call RFPIO, is the broadest of the response management tools I reviewed in this batch. Judged on its platform pages, the AI work is well thought through: triage to decide whether a bid is worth the effort, an import agent for messy documents, a writing agent grounded in approved content, and a TRACE Score that tries to rate each AI answer for accuracy and traceability. Adding Agent Studio and a Trust Center shows it is aiming at the whole answer-the-customer workflow, not only RFPs. The pricing is more transparent than most competitors, with an Emerging edition from $10,000 a year, but that is only the platform fee. License and add-on costs are separate and unpublished, and the site is vague on named security certifications and has inconsistent statistics in a couple of places. The platform is large, so plan for configuration time. Choose it if you manage a high volume of RFPs, DDQs and security reviews and want AI that you can audit. For smaller or more proposal-narrative workflows, compare Loopio or AutogenAI; for occasional use, the budget is better spent on a general AI assistant plus a shared answer doc.
Responsive, formerly RFPIO, is a strategic response management platform for RFPs, RFIs, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and security questionnaires. RFPIO was founded in 2015 by Ganesh Shankar, AJ Sunder and Sankar Lagudu and rebranded as Responsive in 2023 to reflect its broader scope. It reports nearly 2,000 customers, including Microsoft, SAP, Okta and Tenable.
Its AI layer includes a requirements triage tool that shreds long documents and summarizes key requirements, a patented import agent for complex files, a writing agent that drafts from approved content, Ask for cited answers from your content library, a TRACE Score that rates AI content for accuracy and traceability, and Agent Studio for building custom agents. Additional modules cover LookUp, a Trust Center, intake requests and eSignature. G2 shows about 4.5 from 1,150+ reviews.
It fits sales, proposal and security teams at mid-size to large companies. Pricing is partly published: the Emerging edition starts at $10,000 per year as a platform fee, with user licenses and add-ons billed separately.

Emerging includes unlimited response projects, the AI and automation studio, unlimited content and collaboration, integrations, access control and reporting. Growth adds intake requests, LookUp and eSignature, advanced integrations and premium deployment and support. Enterprise adds flexible custom AI, enterprise security controls and advanced reporting.
User license prices and add-on prices (Professional Services, LookUp, Trust Center) are not published, so total cost will be higher than the platform fee. Contract length and trial terms are not stated on the pricing page.
