Octane AI is a product quiz and zero-party data platform purpose-built for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants. Instead of showing every shopper the same static product grid, brands use Octane AI's no-code quiz builder to ask a short series of questions, then recommend the specific products that match each shopper's answers, turning passive browsing into a guided, personalized shopping experience.

At the center of the platform is CORE-1, Octane AI's proprietary AI engine that learns the structure of a merchant's product catalog and interprets quiz answers in context to make smarter recommendations. This powers several AI features: Smart Products selects the right items in real time, Smart Copy generates personalized result-page text for each shopper, Smart Properties creates AI-generated customer attributes for segmentation, and Image Analysis enables photo-based shade matching for beauty and cosmetics quizzes. Quizzes are organized around common ecommerce use cases, including shade matching, skincare and haircare routine builders, apparel size finders, gift finders, and lead-generation quizzes designed purely to capture email and SMS opt-ins.

The platform's most-used integration is Klaviyo, syncing quiz answers to customer profiles in real time to trigger personalized flows, build segments, and power AI-driven product recommendations in email and SMS. Basic plan is $50/month ($43/month billed yearly) and includes 400 credits, limited to two quizzes, pop-ups and opt-ins, Klaviyo and Shopify sync, AI features, basic analytics, and email support. Plus plan, the most popular tier, is $200/month ($170/month billed yearly) and includes 2,200 credits, unlimited quizzes, A/B testing, advanced analytics, custom CSS, custom branding, and enhanced integrations.
