About Looka
I tested Looka across several new venture brand concepts, and its AI logo generator delivered cohesive visual brand kits—including vector logos, color codes, social banners, and business card mockups—in under five minutes. The real-time preview on merchandise is remarkably helpful. Logo designs utilize curated vector icon sets, meaning you will not get completely bespoke, hand-drawn illustration art. At a one-time fee of $65 for full vector assets or $96/year for the Brand Kit, it is the best rapid launch tool for bootstrapped founders.
Looka is an AI-powered logo maker and brand identity platform that generates professional logos and complete visual identity systems from a short questionnaire about your business. Founded in 2016 and used by over 20 million entrepreneurs, Looka is built for the moment a business comes to life: when a founder, freelancer, or small business owner needs a professional-looking brand immediately without the cost or timeline of a design agency.
The workflow is simple and fast: answer questions about your business name, industry, style preferences, and color palette, and Looka's AI generates hundreds of logo options. Select one and customize colors, fonts, icons, and layout in real time. Download the logo as PNG, SVG, PDF, and EPS files with a one-time payment of $20 for basic or $65 for premium files. The Brand Kit subscription ($96/year) goes further — it takes your approved logo and automatically generates every brand asset your business needs: business cards, email signatures, social media profile images and banners, letterheads, invoice templates, brand style guides, and over 300 branded templates for marketing materials.
Looka is not a full design platform and doesn't compete with Figma or Canva for ongoing design work. It's best for the initial branding moment: getting from no visual identity to a complete, consistent brand presence across digital and print channels in under an hour. The Brand Kit Web plan ($129/year) extends this to a simple website builder where Looka auto-populates your brand colors, logo, and fonts into a ready-to-publish site.

Pros
- Free to explore unlimited logo concepts before paying — generate and preview designs with no credit card or commitment
- One-time logo download from $20 is the most accessible professional logo pricing in the market
- Brand Kit at $96/year delivers 300+ ready-to-use branded assets — equivalent to 10-20 hours of a freelance designer's time
- Used by 20M+ entrepreneurs worldwide with millions of logos created — proven quality and reliability at scale
- Complete file formats (SVG, PDF, EPS, PNG) ensure the logo works everywhere from business cards to outdoor signage
- Brand style guide is automatically generated — a document agencies charge $500-2,000 to produce is included automatically
Cons
- AI-generated logos can look similar to other Looka customers' logos — not suitable for brands that need a truly unique custom visual identity
- Limited icon library compared to what a custom illustrator creates — all logos are assembled from Looka's pre-drawn icon set
- No ongoing design capability — Looka creates your brand identity but is not a tool for day-to-day design work like Canva
- Brand Kit website builder is basic — not suitable for complex sites, ecommerce, or content-heavy businesses needing a full CMS
- One-time logo download includes the final design only — ongoing access to edits requires a Brand Kit subscription
- Logo styles are trend-informed but not cutting-edge — Looka's aesthetic skews toward safe, professional, and broadly accessible rather than bold or avant-garde
